Our lighting technology allowed us to program each individual LED node, forming one complete video screen across a stand of magnificent palms. Thousands of lights were wrapped around seventeen, 12-metre trees to illuminate a 20 metre wide by 10 metre high organic moving light installation to delight guests on their arrival and departure.
Each light is expected to last decades and power consumption is low. Our concern for the wellbeing of the trees meant we ensured the installation would not affect the trees’ growth.
Playing with the void between the trees and our mind’s ability to piece missing parts of images together to create a visually coherent form, we created a truly unique collaboration between nature and light.
