Jupiters Hotel and Casino Facade Projections
Famous for its fun, sun and sense of adventure the Gold Coast can now add one of Australia’s largest permanent outdoor projection systems to its attractions. The expansive curved facade at Jupiters Hotel & Casino has been transformed by vibrant high-definition projections of luminous art designed and curated by our studio.
Creative Director Bruce Ramus, once again brings his unique artistic style and sense of theatre to the Jupiters’ property. The impressive digital canvas forms the second stage of a lighting program design by Ramus, which began with the 3D living light installation on the palm trees at the porte-cochère.
The groundbreaking project uses 17 projectors controlled by a central system, which precisely maps the projection to the facade, preventing light spill into windows and the night sky.
Throughout the year, the building displays a range of captivating artwork, punctuated with energetic pieces that reflect the beauty of the natural environment and the vibrant lifestyle of the Gold Coast.
The objective was to create a living art canvas that brings a quality of light and energy to an otherwise static facade.
“We are seeing a paradigm shift in lighting and architectural facade treatments that offer clients the ability to infinitely adapt their visual expression,” said Bruce.
“The Jupiters facade is a shining example of what’s possible and I look forward to the community embracing this work as it continues to evolve.”
A carefully structured curatorial program will see Jupiters schedule customised content specific to seasons, events and holidays.
